About Me - Elias Lozano
With over a decade of experience as a guitarist and bassist, I bring a wealth of real-world knowledge to my music lessons. My love for music started at a young age and was supplemented with music education and my participation in live performance. Since embarking on my journey as a professional musician I’ve had the privilege of performing around the Bay in renown venues such as SF Jazz, Ruth Williams Opera House, and The Chase Center. This hands-on experience as a performer, combined with my solid foundation in music theory and technique, shapes the way I approach teaching.
For the past three years, I’ve been a private music instructor, specializing in helping students of all ages develop their skills and discover their unique musical passions. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to refine your technique, I believe learning music should be a journey of exploration and joy. I make it a point to understand what excites you about music—from the artists and genres you love to the sounds that move you—and incorporate those elements into every lesson.
I have a special love for guitar in Mexican Folk traditions, Jazz, R&B, and Rock. These are the genres that have shaped my playing and interest as a musician over the years.
My approach is rooted in creating an environment where learning feels engaging and personal. I’m passionate about guiding my students not only in mastering technique and theory but in cultivating a deep love for music that lasts a lifetime. With my background in both performance and teaching, I’m excited to help you achieve your musical goals and gain insight into what it truly takes to succeed as a professional musician.
